How high is ‘high end’? And how low can it go? These may sound
like fanciful questions but when one is writing an article on high-end
eyewear, questions about pricing are indeed relevant. Then too, one
could ask if there are aesthetic considerations in a definition of high
end? While some opticians and manufacturers I interviewed felt that
a degree of aesthetic originality was part of the definition, others
said that price is the only true criteria....
